20th Annual Summer Program in Portuguese Programa de Verão de Português UMass Dartmouth's Summer Program in Portuguese offers a unique cultural environment for learning Portuguese in a natural immersion setting. This five-week program, offered to students at all levels of linguistic and academic proficiency, combines Portuguese-speaking classroom instruction with firsthand experience visiting the local Portuguese-speaking communities of the SouthCoast region. The Summer Program offers a schedule of fun and exciting cultural events showcasing the diversity of the Portuguese-speaking world including: excursions to museums and beaches, dinners at local Portuguese restaurants, a Lusophone film series, concerts by local professional artists, traditional community festivals, and more!
